How much do subway tickets cost from germany to austria? or in austria from city to city.?

Im going to go to germany then take the subway or train to austria? how much will that cost me? and what is the cost to travel to salzburg from vienna?

For tickets and timetables from Germany to Austria and within Germany:
http://www.bahn.de

Munich to Salzburg is 2 hrs and costs one-way 23,80 EUR regional train and 27 EUR highspeed train.

Vienna to Salzburg takes about 3 hours and costs 43.40 EUR highspeed train 2nd class one-way.

You can easily reserve a seat for a small fee. This is better value than an upgrade to 1st class, as it is usually not worth to pay double price to ride in a seat that is just one inch broader.

There are no subways between countries or cities in Germany or Austria, Subways are local only. Trains travel between cities and you need to talk to a travel agent about a 2 country eurail pass. Say you want to travel for 4 days on your visit. You buy the eurail pass and you specify the days and you can ride a train anywhere on that day. If it is a 2 country pass you can travel between Germany and Austria. Note there is generally an extra charge to take the ICE trains. Approximately 5 euro's. Talk to a travel agency about the eurail passes. I thin also that you should upgrade to first class. It costs a little more but you are garanteed a seat. The trains in europe can get crowded.

There are trains but no subways from town to town or country to country.
