How do I say, I would love to meet you in person in Austria? |
I want to tell my lady friend in Austria that I would love to meet her in person. It sounds like you are still at the early stages of this relationship so perhaps its best to keep it like a formal request: "Kann ich bitte besuchen Sie in Oesterreich?" which means can I please visit you in Austria? If you have known her for a while, "Kann ich dir treffen?" which means can we meet? And then she can offer a place to meet like a restaurant, etc. Terribly sorry for making it "a huge difficult task", I really am ... Report It Obviously, Ingmar has kindly given the correct ways of saying it and would surely have deserved more appreciation than that! Report It You just said it, are you trying for the Olympics or something? Well, you are speaking English with one another, obviously, so you could try that. If it has to be in German, try something like "Ich w眉rde Dich gerne in 脰sterreich besuchen" (assuming you are using the "Du" form of personal address, "Sie" being more formal, replace "Dich" with "Sie" in this case), meaing "I'd like to visit you in Austria". Be diplomatic. Say better you want make a travel and if she want help you....learn better first with her German Phrases. |
