Moving from dublin ireland to australia, any advice please?? |
my family of 2 adults 2 children. thinking of maybe perth or brisbane not sure yet. my husband is a carpet and vinyl fitter, and would be looking for similar work, and wondering what the rates of pay are? my son is 13 and daughter is 5 so any information on what city would be best would be greatly appreciated thank you More carpet company's for you are.............Andersens and you can check them out on the internet @ www.andersens.com.au Move to Bondi, tons of irish there and you're close to the beach. Thats in sydney. I like sydney the best, it's very open and there are lots employment opportunities. It also doesn'y get to overly hot there. which will be good for you, headed from ireland Don't try to bring furniture unless it is particularly valuable. Don't bring large electrical items like TVs and refrigerators or even DVD players. TVs and DVDs probably will not work here. Australia uses 240V electricty but the plugs will be different to those used in Dublin. I wouldnt be choosing Brisbane or Perth. I would look at Sydney and Melbourne. I would put Perth before Brisbane though if your stuck on those choices. |
