I'm moving to Brisbane! I'm going to be renting. What suburbs should I avoid? and where are the good ones?

Looking to spend $220-$300wk and I have 2 dogs. A Staffy (F) and a Red Heeler X Staffy (F).

Northside.
Chermside, Bald Hills, Bracken Ridge, Strathpine. These are the better, more affordable suburbs.
I would stay away from the south suburbs such as Inala. Very high crime rates.
And the centre of Brisbane, let's just say you would never afford it.

Well at least this is coming from someone who lives in Brisbane lol.

Stay well away from Woodridge, Inala, Ipswich can be a bit funny sometimes, the Valley is too expensive anyways. Some part of Logan aren't good but some are. Where I live is - the rent isn't bad atm, nice suburbian area. I don't live in forestlake but that's also a nice area. The redlands is very nice but very exxy. If you want anymore detailed information, feel free to email me

I agree with the posters post above. I am in Forest Lake - nice area! Just houses are close to each other. You can hear your neighbor whispering in some places. It is quiet though in a way and nice.

North side houses are generally more.

Look at Springfield new and upcoming area just on the outskirts of Brisbane.

Lot of nice areas in Brisbane you cant really go wrong.
