Which food products can't i take into Australia, hand luggage or baggage? Check out the Australian Quarantine and Inspection service web site below for the official list of what you can and cant bring into Australia. dont think anything unless its in a tin.. but then ive never been.. just seen that on a customs & excise show on some sky channel lol why bother/ There's a plethora of food in Australia, they'll only confiscate it if it's a banned product. Look on the Aussie web site - they are very strict indeed. You have to declare ALL food and plant items at customs, even if it is permitted. Don't rely on answers here, check the official sites. this is the site you need for your question Essentially, if it is raw or has not been processed in any way, you will not be allowed to take it in. Seeds nuts honey plants fruit animal and fish products are all definite No nos . All food must be declared. The fines are big. Some foods you are allowed but still must be declared. Don't forget anything, as to forget you have something is no excuse. If you declare it you don't get into trouble. but it could be taken off of you if they think it carries disease or pests. . None all foods have to be declared as Customs and Quarrantine are pretty strict. You get given a declaration form on the plane. Don't try sneaking it in as the sniffer dogs will find it. If your planning on taking food products into Aust....then good luck to you. Frankly your simply mad even to think about it. Bring extra money with you for the $220 on the spot fine, and your name flagged for future reference by customs.Jeez mate..... |
