A question for all americans living in Australia?

I am wanting to move to Australia in a couple of years but so far think it is going to be to expensive.im from Louisiana so is there any were in Australia that i should be able to afford? i dont need currency rates, just salary, accomadation, food, leiser, cost of living, and purchase power(how much i would have left over to spend). Thnx in advance

Depends on where in Australia, what city, what your job is, how much you CAN spend on rent, food, essentials. Its like moving to any other city in the world. Dont forget Visa costs too! Here is a bit of advice, if you are planning to move to one of the major cities in AUS, (ie Sydney, Melb, Bris) rent goes by the week and is way more expensive the closer you are to the city compared to outer suburbs near the city... hope it helps.
