Can I get information about roads condition from brisbane to townsville?

I heard that due to rain the condition of motorway number A1 is not good. Can I be able to go via car from brisbane to townsville??

big wet is on up north you can get about 1/2 way OK then just ask at petrol station's / cop shop if the road is open or not or use the RACQ website to check on road conditions

You would be travelling on the Bruce highway . the road is good but this year we have had an exceptionally high rain fall which has caused some delays. Flooding in many areas but I believe the road is open and I'm sure you will have no trouble . A lot of traffic especially big trucks travel this road so if you did hit particular bad weather. The road workers would be working hard to get the road open.
