Asia ABC book?

Well I have homework... I have to create and ABC book with something Asia for each letter...when I mean Asia...I mean China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Burma, both Koreas, Japan , Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, Brunei, Mongolia, and Singapore.... I am Asian...and this is due a long time from now but I need Ideas cause this is hard...and i have to make a poem like Dr. Seuss...so make them easy to ryhme. I need the following letters...

I have ideas for them...but I would like some new ideas... I want to be original as this is a above AP class... it can be ridiculous... like I would've done this one...but 'W' for Wonton... Thanks for the help.

A poem for each letter...

The Mongolian huts are called yurts (sometimes "ger"), so you could use that for the Y or the G depending on which you want to use. If you want a really unique Y, you could do Yoko Ono. lol. Yangtze River is also a Y. Yakuza is another.

G could also be Ghengis Khan, since he was a major figure in Asian history. If you want to add culture, geisha could also make a good G. Great Wall is also a good G. If you wanted to be a bit dark, you could make the G "genocide" in reference to the Cambodian genocide.

U could be Uighurs, an ethnic group of China and other Asian nations.

Z could be Zedong (Mao). There are different romanizations, but it could be useful to use the Z spelling, if you haven't used him, since the Communist Revolution in China has had a large impact on modern East Asia. "Zen" may be a good choice for Z, too.

On the other side, Sun Yat Sen (for S) is known as the man who founded Taiwan. He is also influential.

Other S possibilities: Shwedagon Pagoda (Burma/Myanmar), Sushi, Sumo, Sake, Shintoism, Samurai, Seoul, Shamisen, Shogun, Shogi (Japanese chess), Saigon, Singapore, Silla Dynasty (Korea)... I don't know if you would want to use this or not but "Sex traficking" is a major issue in Asia. Southeast Asia produces many of the women. The Philippines exports the most (or one of the most) people as sexual slaves and mail-order brides, and along with the U.S., Canada, and Western Europe, Japan and South Korea purchase them. That may be too serious for this project, but perhaps you want to represent issues that the region faces.

For I, you could use Indochina (what Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia were called under French rule), "Imperialism" could be used to describe both European and Japanese over Asia. You could also just keep it simple and put "Indonesia" as I but that's not at all creative. Actually, Isolationism could be a good "I", since it has also had profound affects on China and Japan. "Islam" is important in Southeast Asia, so that could be an I. Indonesia has more Muslims than any other nation.

For W, you could do any of these famous religious sights in Thailand (I won't list them myself, since they're already listed here):

Viet Cong could work for V. Vientiane is the capital of Laos...

"G" is for "gimchi" (kimchi)--Korea

"S" for sushi (I know, not very original)

"W" for "wat" (Thai temple)

"X" for Xi'an, China (where the terra cotta army is)

"Y" is for yurt (like they live in in Mongolia)
