5 days in Thailand or Vietnam? Which is better for two adventurous 20-30somethings? Is Saigon worth seeing?

My husband and I are planning a trip to China in June for just over a week. We can't decide whether to extend our trip to see Saigon. Should we? Also, we're thinking of adding another 5 day stint in either Thailand or Vietnam. Which would you recommend and what should we do there? Also, if you have any China "must see" suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

Ho Chi Minh City / Saigon is quite interesting, I think Hanoi though has more natural character.
Whether you choose Vietnam or Thailand depends on what you want to do, waht you want to see. If you want beaches and Islands then Thailand. It depends on how you want to spend your vacation time.

I live in Ha Noi and am really partial to it. So, naturally I would say Ha Noi. It might be a tad cooler in HN than in HCMC in June too, but I can't swear to it!

China is big. You have to be more specific.

Anyway, I would say. You can go both. Just 2 days in Bangkok and 2 days in Ha Noi.(You can plan more trip to South East Asia)
