Is Hong Kong Star Stephen Chow A Triad?

Read a few articles that Chow used triad links to get him to the top of Hong Kong movie biz and stay there? I've lost all respect for the guy if its true.

He was accused like other's in Hongkong's allegedly traid-ridden film industry.But it was not proven.Controversy just ended..

Well, there were rumors of that connection but that's with most major stars in Hong Kong like Anita Mui. I think triads ask for protection money when they're filming at locations in HK and they pay it, that's all, sort of how the film industry goes. I don't believe he's got any triad connections, I follow his news pretty closely. Chow was denied immigration to Canada in the 90s but who cares now.
