I would find out what is happening in Argentina these days and pick a topic from there. Years ago, I did research on Argentina. You could go to the library or a bookstore. I believe I began with magazines. The research I did was just for my own interest.

Avoid doing topics which everybody will probably think of doing; the inflation or Evita.

Maybe you could do a presentation about the influence of Europe on Argentine culture. The country has a very rich political and cultural heritage owing to colonisation and mass immigration from Europe. It could also inspire a polemic such as 'Are Argentines European, or South American?'
