Is it true of Argentineans?!?

Im moving to Argentina in the spring and someone told me Argentineans don't like non-european looking people.. is it true?!

Please be honest with me.

First of all, I live in Argentina.
Argentinians discriminate sometimes, but that's usually related to the MANY people that come to the country from the border countries because most of us look like europeans, and immigrants don't. That's something that happens here, as it probably happens in most countries around the world when it comes to people that is someway "different" because of their skin colour, their culture, or whatever.
I personally enjoy meeting new people from outside Argentina :) Are you coming to Buenos Aires? What are you planning to do here?
I really hope you enjoy your stay !

YR

yes. prepare for the hate.

Of all the countries in South America they tend to be the most racist just b/c their background is composed of white europeans, but that does not mean they are all like that keep an open mind and you might be surprised. Plus it's a very beautifull country

I am Argentinian and here people are used to seeing tourists from all around the world and we don't discriminate for that.

You can come and have a great time.

Well being honest we don't like too much peruvians, people from bolivia and chilean people.

you will find racism, like you will find in any other country.

I live in USA, and no other country is as racist as this one.
So, don't worry, Argentineans are very friendly and open.

Have fun.

I dont think we are racist ....why do you say that? are you african american? if your are i can tell you that you are going to have a great success with woman cause here they love african american guys...so enjoy! hehehe

I am an Argentine living in Miami, FL, Argentines are very open minded, specially if you are a english speaking coming from USA you will not have any discrimination problem and actually you will find that people will give you more attention and be even more friendly to you that to any other local.

For sure you will have a very nice time in Argentina and I guarantee that, at least you, will not suffer any discrimination.
