What is the difference between straw and hay in spanish?

Could someone please tell me the difference between saying straw and hay in Spanish. We are interested in building a straw bale house in Argentina and I want to start researching to see if anything has been built, but I keep searching for hay (I think)

"straw" that is "paja" is the right word. "heno" will NOT get you anywhere in Argentina.
And in your particular case are "fardos de paja" or straw bales!

I think you are looking fror this:

Spain and links:

http://www.casasdepaja.com/

Here "casa de paja" means "straw home"

Chile:

"Architecture with bales"

http://www.agrodesierto.com/tecnoconstru...

Though I am not an expert in agriculture and plants, I can say straw is "paja" and hay is "heno". That's how I've always heard people call straw and hay in the countryside.
