Do you think africa is a bad country? why do peole do? if they never even been there.?

This gets a bit annoying... AFRICA is a continent! people think it is a bad continent because of what they see on the television... famine, disease , death. and for whatever reason, they never show the clean beaches, the friendliness... ect

You need to define "bad." If you mean their leadership and economic system, then they're horrible. But if you're just talking about the people, than no, I don't think they're "bad."

i've only been as far as johannesburg's airport when i was on my way to south america. i liked it. it's pretty neat. the duty free products also look great. too bad it was nighttime when we were there - the shops were closed. i will want to go back there sometime. i think africa has a lot of good things to offer - nature and animal life is very interesting.

africa is a continent, not a country, and many people seem to think negatively about it because all that is heard about it is how there are civil wars in many countries, the people are poverty stricken, and there are many diseases presesnt there, especially aids. its all about representation, and africa has a bad rep. every location on this planet has its positives and negatives, but some locations are favor one over the other, and in africa's case, it definitly leans towards the negative. it is a harsh continent, but it does have its positives, people who do not recognise this are simply ignorant

there are a lot of scams coming out of africa, Nigeria in particular. all my spam emails seem to be coming from Nigeria, and recently people from Nigeria are on IM services
trying to find ways to get you to send them money (by offering love, or MONEY.. such as "you have won this, please pay the transfer fees....) This is giving the country of Nigeria a very bad name. As for the whole of Africa... that's the largest continent in the world. How are you going to judge a whole continent? That would be like trying to judge all of the western world by just meeting one person. There are good and bad people in every country/state/ provice/ city/ continent in the world. You must use your own intelligence to work it out.

No, I don't think it is bad. I've lived here all my life (in Ethiopia) and I LOVE it!!!

It's not bad, just misunderstood. What will people ever know about the real Africa except for what you see on TV?
Same thing happens with Iran. Everybody is hating Iran but they're not the bad guys the media (and G. Bush) makes them out to be.

People tend to believe what they see on TV. It rarely is the truth.
