Has anyone been to Ibadan Nigeria?

I got a offered a two year job contract to join a film company and don't know a thing about that city. How modern is it? Could an American be content there?

Ibadan has bad roads and Nigeria in general has a lousy infrastructure (power, water) and a lot of poor people, so if you cannot deal with that, Nigeria is not a place for you.

Don't expect to find bowling or movie theaters or shopping malls or other "modern" stuff in Ibadan.

The power is off more than it is on. Roads are a mess. Crime is almost as bad as in the USA.

If you can live with constant power outages, why not? Electricity is not a necessity.

the power just randomly goes off its really weird..........
