I got to learn all about how women of most of the tribes/clans up there name daughters and at times sons born on the day of a special event/happening to 'mark' it after the 'special something.... there are quite a few girls and boys named clinton to mark the day President clinton was in the country apparently... lol.. good thing it wasn't a 'firey thingy falling from the heavens' or 'doomsday... doomsday.... Uganda is Buganda; Luganda, swahili, french and english are the offical languages spoken... Buganda is also know by lots of other names... most end with 'anda' someone in brazil, peru a little girl has that for her middle name.... she is trying to save the rain forest... she did not have the meaning on the site though....
uuhhh.... "La" 's orgin is english... and quite a few have adopted it to add a unique quality to a name (or hundred thousand) according to some of the sites....
