What poeple think of my country Iran?

What poeple think of my country Iran?

i have a decent amount of persian friends. i don't have too many impressions, not really any bad one either.

the only things i think about it is the traffic sucks, everyone smokes b/c it's cheap, good food, and its muslim. there you go.

Great people.

Every Iranian I ever knew was great to be around, fun loving. However, I have never been to Iran, so that may be just the ex-pats.

The ruling body of the country is a bunch of religious nuts that belong in back in the 13th century though.

I think they are people just like anywhere else.. with a corrupt leader

The only negative thoughts of it is bombing and non-Democratic Laws. But I don't have nothing against religion, or anything else. I'd live there if it wasn't for the two reasons I stated above.

The problem with Iran is that the US is making it out to be a threat on Earth (rich coming from them) and this is making the people angry and allows the corrupt religious leaders to seize on that. I'd be angry if America was trying to make everyone turn against Britain.
I knew a chef who was Iranian, he was a good laugh to be around.

All the people I know from Iran are so friendly and nice! I have never been to Iran, so therefore I cannot tell you what I think of the place myself.

Love it. The country, the people, the history are all beautiful. I married a Persian. He's like my angel. The most thoughtful, loving , caring person I have ever met. I'm so lucky. All the Persians I know are wonderful. We were in Tehran two years ago, and I never felt like a stranger.I want to go back, but husband says to wait a few years until our baby gets older.
Which part of Iran are you from?

To answer srracvue..question. I am American and my husband is Iranian. He said he would never move back to Iran, but he still loves to visit and he is proud of his country. But he also loves living in America. He has his own electronics repair shop and is doing well here, so he has no reason to leave. His parents and sisters are here too.

i think they run really fast

if its so nice Shirin why are you living here and your husband seems in no hurry to leave what does he do for a living? // Tara I've never been to Iran but i would think the country is nice but rulers are not co-operative with other countries

The Western World, in other words the world influenced by George Bush, US Politics and their "War of Terror", has been forcefed the opinion that Iran means danger, nuclear warfare and violent corrupt dictatorship. Of course, who am I to judge, but I'm sure this isn't all true, as people are not all like their governments. If anything, I believe the moral values of a religious republic such as Iran make for a better society than the parochial hedonistic society of the West that to which we all conform. When it comes down to it, people live their own personal lives, and a fairminded individual cannot make a sweeping judgment of an entire country.

I would love to visit Iran. I think its a country rich in history and is also pretty diverse. I admire your movie industry as well. I think the people are interesting specially the women, very pretty and talented I guess!

I'm iraqi, many iraqi people don't like it because of the destruction happened to Iraq in the 8 year war, and some people also accuse iraqnians for the bombings in iraq, but me, i neither hate it not love it because there is no evidence that the terrorism origin is iran, and I believe that Saddam was the one who started the war.

And I hope Iran and Iraq will be like brother countries soon, they are united in religion and history as well.
