Is it better to visit Victoria Fals from the Zimbabwe side, or Zambia?

I know people avoid Zimbabwe these days, but has anybody actually had a bad experience staying on the Zimbabwe side

I would feel safer on the Zambia side, although my fears might be unfounded.

Its not just safer on the Zambian side, its also more beautiful.

Hard to say really and it depends on where you come from. People from the Zambia side will say that their side has a better view while people from the Zimbabwean side will say that their side is the best.

I saw the Falls about 2 years ago now and thought that they were brilliant! I went with my auntie (who lives there) and my cousin. All my cousin and I did was pretend to be our auntie's kids so we could get in cheaper. And we didn't run into any trouble or anything!

Though, with all the disturbance in Zimbabwe at the moment especially due to the upcoming election, I would probably go for the Zambia side, just because it is somewhat safer. In saying that, it is always a good idea to travel with someone you know who is from the country just in case you do run into any trouble...
