Please tell me something briefly about Sierra Leone,Africa and especially how safe this place is. Thanks..?

let me ask this guy from sierra leone, he always tell me of freetown and makeni plus the fula tribes but he told me is the only country on earth without electricity (they use batteries) and traffic lights but rich in diamonds and golds. how is de body oh?

After years of civil war leading up to the turn of the century, Sierra Leone has been relatively calm and safe the past five years of so.

I have plenty of friends working there and often visit. It is definitely not a bad place to go and people have high hopes since a new president took power.

Sierra Leone is an African country, in the Western coast of Africa. It's capital is Freetown. I don't think is very safe, but not so dangerous. It's one of the poorest countries on Earth, in the sense of GDP and has very low standarts of living, although it has a virgin nature.

Sierra leone is a tiny country in West Africa. My ex-husband's family is from the Mende tribe, so he speaks Mende and Creo. The children learn English in school around the age of five. The food is very good and spicy. I like casava leaf. Excellent food. The culture is very different then American culture. They are rich in diamonds and hence was the cause of the civil war. The beaches are beautiful and the mess is being cleaned up, now that the war is over.
