Helping Africa? |
Im 13 and I want to travel to Africa and help towns and people, but I have no idea how to do that. I asked basically the same question before and got some good question but they all told me to wait till I was older cuz I can't do anything now since I'm so younge. I want to help now and I mean isn't there ANY way for me to travel there and help at all?? I know I can donate money and all but thats not the same I want to acually go there and help out. I'm strong, hard working, nice funny, and I REALLY want to help out over there. So please can any one tell me any way I can GO there and help?? It would mean the WORLD to me and I'm not just saying that I'd really appericate it. So please answer and dont say stuff like "Help your own country first!!" Cuz we don't need it as much. Thanks =)! I know there are a lot of people in America that need help too but I want/need to get away and go some where far cuz helping would propely be my only chance to get away and help at the same time. I know America needs help too but I've already done a ton of my part in America and even in America there isn't a lot for me to do. And ok then what kind of websites and people will let me go there and help if a parent comes with me then?? I want to help and I think that's a good thing cuz there are a lot of people who have a fine life yet they think more about them selves. I am will to leave my home, my animals, and all my friends to help... so I want to know how I can go there and get there. Please people help me. How do you want to help in Africa? If you are interested in building houses, you might want to talk with Habitat for Humanity. They build homes all over the world. If you want to spread the word of God, then talk to local churches. Some churches do missions to foreign countries. Churches are probably your best bet, b/c most organizations won't take anyone younger than 18 unless they are accompanied by their parent(s). In the meantime, you should look at local organizations to volunteer. Try working for a homeless shelter. It will give you experience and you are wrong, there are plenty of people who need help in the United States. |
