Dear Community- I need your help. My wife has been offered a short term job in Kuwait (8 months).?

She has asked my input. Is this a safe place for her? I'm not being racist- she has been alone in Dubai and has had many students from that area. Can you give me your input?

I've been in Kuwait last year and been visiting the region for the last so many years (part of my job) and with full honesty - Kuwait isn't bad for women or even for everybody in general. Of course it can't be compared to Dubai in all aspects but she can live there and mingle with all nationalities with ease and without anything to woory about.

Just like any other countries within the GCC, everbody is expected to respects the culture, the religion and privacy of every citizen and the islamic law - and that's it.

It's a more open place compared to Saudi Arabia and the social life I would say is pretty normal really.

All I can say is that leave all her lifestyle and thinking of Dubai IN Dubai and start thinking of an open Islamic country and that's it.

Dont worry - she should be alright there !!!

believe me its safe Kuwait is safe from tsunamis and because of Oman it covers the the Indian ocean for Kuwait and it has the American bases in there and i gave a lot of advices for Kuwait not usually online but they thanked me for it now i swear and cross my heart and hope to die
