Is anyone curious to take a trip to Sierra Leone, West Africa? I'm a native from there? |
I will be taking a business trip there. The country is stable, I am just curious if the rest of the world know or think about a country that is rich in minerals but also the poorest country in the world I think the world can be judgemental I go to see my family there twice a year. It is not so different from the poorest part of America, take the time to learn about it before knocking it down. I have taken my teenage daughters there and they were born in the US, They loved it. This just prove a point. Sometimes we have to learn other people background rather than go by what the media says about it. Anyway it is my birth place and I had no problem there. thanks for all you remarks. I think it is a very interesting place with a very sad past. I am taking a course on Africa, and we learned about the tragic story of conflict diamonds, and the hardships they've struggled though. We also got to see the film 'Blood Diamond' which was very good, and I recommend to anyone who is interested in Sierra Leone. I don't know if I would want to take a trip there, but I do find it interesting. Heck no. I don't plan on going anywhere in Africa unless the company sends me there. Even then I may try to get out of it. Id like to get me some diamonds from there, and thats all yup. i am curious to visit africa...and i've thought about sierra leone because i like the name. and i've heard about the beautiful beaches. are you paying? if so, i'm down. :-) hope you have a good ransome bond your likely to get kidnapped Id love to go to west africa as Ive never even left the US...wanna take me with you when you go? from what i've read, it doesn't appear stable...i would be too scared to visit it.... hey! i am learning about that in school! sierra leone is deffinety EXTREEMY poor. i myself would not want to go there, but u do have a business trip,so u must go. but even though it is soooo poor, they still have small motels. if u cant find anywhere good to stay in, bring a tent or something in case lol no. i hear the freedom- so callled freedom fighters fund the deaths of women and children and families- with so called blood diamonds and political drama.. and i hear 1 in 4 women have HIV. hell no and you couldn't pay me enought to get on a plane. i'm not trying to get butchered cause they think it's fun over there, soor no offense...i also know the Africans who are from there happen to treat and say the American women- no matter what race are easy and they just use them and it's fun here too. I am from Africa too, would love to go there but after watching that movie Blood Diamond .... I am a bit scared. |
