Does anyone have links on what the area is like in south east nigeria, like, geographically?

South east? Do you mean Cross River State?

Good beaches and a forested mountain ridge forming the border to Cameroun. Well worth a visit.

But stay clear of the Niger Delta and Rivers State (Port Harcourt and Warri)

southeast Nigeria has a mostly hilly topography,the soil is cross between loamy soil and clay in different parts.The vegetation consists of mostly iroko and obeche trees.The southern areas have mangrove forests in their riverine areas.
I lived in the midwest for most of my life.
