Florence food and drink?

how much is a meal in florence and what price is a beer in the pubs

Meals depend on the restaurant. You could eat at a spaghetteria or pizzeria very well for very little.

Italy is a country for wine, so I'd advise trying the wine rather than the beer.

It depends on where you are and what you want to eat. The hotel where I stayed was in a residential neighborhood, so we got great food for about 40 Euro for two with at least a caraffe of wine and a drink for him. If you drink wine, get it its a lot cheaper.
