What are people from El Salvador called? |
I know Hondurian people are called Catrachos, but Salvadorians what? Is is wanakos? I dont remember? i know they are called Salvadore帽os but the other one! Thanks you guys! Yeah, guanacos. However I cannot imagine why as guanacos are animals which live only in the Andes and in countries like Peru, Bolivia, Chile. Guanacos are llamas, alpacas, vicu帽as, etc. Hi, you are right, but I'm going to correct your spelling a bit. Salvadorans, or salvadore帽os, refer to themselves as guanacos. El Savadorians. Salvadorians yes you are right that people sometimes called catrachos to ppl from Honduras guanacos or Salvadorans Be aware that many Salvadorenos don't like to be called guanacos, they see it as an insult. Don't know the story behind it, but some people really get upset when you call them that. Just FYI. We r salvadorians, we don't like to b called guanacos AT ALL! Its an insult. We prefer Salvadorians and by the way SAlvadorian language is wayyyyyyy different than regurlar spanish If u r not salvadorian then you wouldn't know what Paja is or Gaseosa (unless u have a friend or know someone salvadorian) People.
