How many days should i spend in Edinburgh??

I'm planning on visiting Edinburgh a week before Christmas..

maybe 3, there will be the German markets in princes Street gardens,(for Christmas) next to there is an over priced ice rink. And the big Ferris wheel. There's Edinburgh castle to see, and you could climb to the top of Scotts Monument. There's loads of shopping places in Edinburgh (Princes Street, Ocean Terminal the Fort to name a few) and the night life is superb.

I would say about 4 days would suffice
