Baking bread in America, yeast?

In Denmark, yeast is found in the dairy section as a grey square, that is to be mixed in with water.
In America, there is a different form of yeast called dry active. Little pebbles. 2 tsp for 50ml water.

Anyone know what the equivalent is in a Danish recipe that calls for 50g g忙r is to Active dry yeast and how is it prepared?
