Is $1400 enough for one person on a 7 day cruise if I plan on drinking a lot? |
I am not an alcholic but I plan on having plenty of fun on this cruise! I am leaving on Sunday Feb. 24th! I am going on the Norwegian Dawn, and do you people that say you are bringing liquer bring it in your checked luggage? Please let me know thank You very much for all the good tips and advice! Generally everything is included except alcohol, soda, gambling, shore excursion and any personal items (like souvenirs) you may purchase. All on board meal (which are served 24/7) and entertainment are included. Drinks will run around $5-7 apiece and shore excursions can run $50 - $100. You will probably visit 3-4 islands. So, unless you plan on some heavy gambling $1400 should be plenty. Just remember the cruise ships don't accept cash, you are assigned a room Key that also acts as your on-board credit card. It will be attached to either a cash deposit or your credit card. If you travel on carnival you can see how much money you have spent on board by looking it up on you room television. Hope this helps. I would say that $1400 is more than enough for drinks, activities when on the island and souveners. I usually spend around $800. Try buying alcohol on the island and brining it back on the ship. Wrap it up in a towel so you don't get caught, but this will save you a bundle. Also, watch for drink specials, they usually have some good ones! Usually everything is all inclusive (food and drinks are included) so you don't need to spend any money. Call the cruise line and check. hey want ship are u goin on....I leave on Sunday the 24th to on the Carnival Legend....wooo hooo i can't wait!!! that sounds like a good amount of money!!! if ur sailing on the legend email me at cmelendez6604@yahoo yes should be ok after 5 to 6 shooters money would not b an issue any longer Feb 24???? So are we!!!! Caribbean Princess out of FLL. Go ahead and have some of those $7.00 drinks, but don't over do it. A day dazed is a day wasted and the cruise is not cheap. You wouldn't want to diminish the experience. You can always tie one on at home. |
