How should I dress in Madrid in mid october?

Long Trousers,jackets,maybe a coat(only maybe),shirts

October in Madrid is variable, either end of summer heat, or autumn drizzles. Depends on luck! For 1 week stay: 2 pairs of pants lightweight & heavy, 1 of casuals (jeans or chinos),.1 warm jacket, 1 light rain-proof overcoat. 1 sweater or two, & whatever else you would normally wear with the above.
