Why do Valencias put bottles of water outside there homes? |
my parents moved to spain last year ..to valencia and they keep seeing bottles of water outside spainsh peoples homes and wondered why , can anyone help on this ???? Its not only in Valencia, its all over Spain. They do that so that Dogs don麓t pee on the property.. That's why its done.. To scare cats, sometimes they put them there when the cycling races are on to provide refreshment 4 them and sometimes they are making a sacrifice to the god of water to stop cats peeing up thier houses, not just in that part of spain in Murcia to. Yes, its quite simple and it works. They stop dogs weeing on the corner of the wall and staining the brickwork/paintwork. It is done everywhere across Spain,to stop cats and dogs peeing against the walls... I live in Spain and have noticed my neighbours doing the same, so I asked an old lady and she says that it stops the dogs/cats peeing up there wall. (don't know if it works though) I am told by my next door that this is to stop the animals peeing on the wall etc of the casa, but my Spanish is not that good as i am not sure if then its the bottle the dogs cock the leg on ??!!! to stop cat/dogs piddling up walls, also look in gardens they hang CD's on string to frighten cats/birds away from their veg patches and flowers. |
