No he's still alive and kicking! I was on the same plane as him about 2 or 3 years ago.. He still rows off shore every census night! =]

Well timed question, he was on TV the other night ,I didnt get to watch all of it but from what I seen he's still going strong and I think he turned 75?

Dont take me the wrong way
I just have a beef with people who earn fat incomes from the taxes of hard working people
and was he good for Christchurch.....perhaps tourism....but the city could have done much better for an 'Iconic' figure
