What are some nice cafes around Loyola University? |
I'm meeting someone for a first date, and we wanted to start off at a cafe for some tea, and we've decided on the Loyola University area, the northern campus by Devon/Sheridan, as the starting point, but neither of us know off the top of our heads the closest cafes in the area, so if there are any Loyola students lurking around here, can you help me out by giving me some names? Thanks. Uncommon Ground just opened a second place on Devon a couple of blocks west of Sheridan/Broadway. And there are a couple of other cafes along the way. North of the campus there's a little coffeeshop called Charmers on Jarvis. It's attached to a small restaurant called the Dagel and Beli (Bagel and Deli, get it?). You don't know about Metropolis?! It's located near the corner of Kenmore and Granville, very close to campus, and was recently declared by The Chicago Tribune to be the best coffee shop in the city. I agree. The coffee is quality stuff, the staff is great, and they have a good tea menu, too. I love the place. |
