Has anyone been to Chicago?How was your experience?

I am from the south side of Chicago.With so many sights to see and events,you would be hard pressed to believe this is truly one of the "great" cities in America.If you visited let me know how it went!

Chicago is the best City in the US. I have traveled to many cities about nothing can compare to Chicago.

I live in Chicago for 15 years now, I traveled to different states already and I consider it still the best of all.

Chicago is my favorite city in the country! Rome is definately my favorite in the world, but Chicago comes close. I love everything about it!

I'm from the U.K. and having visited New York and Chicago in the past few years, I had the choice to go back to either for a holiday this autumn. In the end it wasn't really a choice. I'm going to Chicago!
Beautiful architecture, friendly people, great shops, laid back attitude. Sorry New York, nice enough place but a poor second to Chicago!!

I too am a southsider but moved away a long time ago. When I lived there, I rarely visited the things I now see as a visitor. I have a much better appreciation for the museums, restaurants, architecture and historical things.

It may second hometown (living in Milwaukee) but go down alot and it is amazing how all those bulidings are bulit on swamp , then bulit on top of the remains of old chicago. I wish Milwaukee could had did that. Its like New York City of the Midwest.

It sucks.

I've mostly been to the zoos, museums, lake front, S. Michigan Ave. aquarium. I like all those places. Went to the Taste once, that was a lot of fun. Been to activities at McCormick Place. Was up there on a river tour, that was iteresting. Rode up on the Metra a few times. It is hard to park in the city if driving.
I'm 60 miles south.
