And what is the river between them called? cardiff is nowhere near bristol. You mean the severn bridge, across the severn... 7 bridge or new one on m49 River severn The Severn Bridge crosses the River Severn, that links the two cities, albeit indirectly. The Clifton Bridge. Er, I think it's called the bridge over the river Kwai ...by the way, there is also a bridge that crosses the Atlantic..true... You need to cross the "old" Severn Bridge (M48) or the Second Severn Crossing (M4) in order to get between Bristol and Cardiff - though there is approx 44 miles between the 2 cities. The waterway between Wales and Bristol is the River Severn. There are two bridges the severn bridge and the second severn crossing. The are very close together. They go from Aust (England) to Beachley (Wales). The second severn crossing was built to take the strain off of the severn bridge. There is also a rail tunnel that goes under the river between the bridges called the severn tunnel. It's called the New Severn Bridge that goes over the river severn & gives transport links by road for Wales & England. THE M4/ M32/ motorway connects these cities and this motorway has a bridge that goes over the river Severn / bristolchannel it is a road bridge ony and a expensive toll at that when you travel towards Cardiff 拢5.30 . train travel via the Severn tunnel may be a better option. Its called the second severn crossing. |
