I might study in Cardiff. Does anybody know if it is a nice city ? how is it ? dead or not ?

I'm a student there and I love it. There's loads for you if you love shopping, the bars and clubs are great and most of them have awesome drink deals etc. The union is fantastic in my opinion, and the union, libraries, buildings, heath centre, gym, train station, are all on the same street so it's really handy. Plus I'm in halls which are furthest away from the uni buildings and the union, and it's still only 10mins on the bus - 35 minute walk, and I find that fine to manage... so imagine how good it is for the people living right by the uni buildings :)
Plus if you're at uni, walking to town is 5 mins, it's literally down the street.

Sorry but I can't stress enough how much I<3cardiff. Whoever said it's no London is right, but if you want a small city then its fine.

My mates sister went to Cardiff Uni... It's apparently really nice... Great place to shop... Great social scene... Anyone else I know who went there to Uni say its great... Definately not dead.

It a bit quiet, they are building a new shopping centre, thats going to be HUGE! Its pretty cheap too, well cheaper than places like London! Night life wise there is like one street which has a row of nightclubs on them, and thats pretty much the nightlife! The bay area is nice, a few clubs and cinema by there! Umm but yea, its a nice place for a student to live in!

It is nice...with a thriving student population...there are a lot of pubs and things that cater for sudents...go and visit

Im a student in Cardiff at the moment, and it's really good. The union is excellent, and there are countless bars and clubs all over the city. It's no London, but it's definitely not dead.

Cardiff is a great city! And still changing to make it better. There is a big town centre for shopping (this will be even bigger in 2008!) Great night life with a mixture of pubs and clubs, great restraunts. Great views and lots to do in surounding areas also

It's Cold & Damp.

A most alive place day and night, with the really good road, rail and public transport it is a hub for your learning and enjoyment.

i liv in cardiff and its def not ded. good nitelife, pubs and social scene. lots of shops and plenty 2 do

Hi I used to work for Cardiff uni and it is a great place to study and live............it is a great city to live in and it is never dead especially if you are a student - there is something going on every night for you.

The uni is fantastic and offers great support to it's students......there is never a problem with finding accommodation and it is central for all bus, train services.......the only thing that is a problem with the uni is if you drive!! car parking is a nightmare and much quicker and easier to walk or use public transport
