Cardiff on a rugby day?

hi,was thinking of taking a 6 year old girl with the wife and i on the train to cardiff today on the train for a day out,but have found out theres a rugby match on today(new zealand v france).do you think it will be manic. ps live in newport.thanks bye.its 8.40 now leaving about 10 am.

Hi Yanto, it will be busy in the town but it's not like football crowds.Rugby fans are well behaved (usually father and sons out to enjoy the game) Try and avoid the town when the game is likely to finish as the crowds will start spilling out onto the streets.
I was born in Newport by the way.Royal Gwent.;o)

It will be manic, I suggest you go somewhere else for the day especially if you have a 6 year old with you.

Cardiff will be a nightmare! It will be jam packed.

Cardiff is always busy on an international day.

GO it'll be a great experience, come on France!!

It'll probably be busy in the pubs, due to the England V Australia game, but it shouldn't be that bad, busy, but not as bad as when Wales are playing.
Kick off's not until 8pm, so the game isn't really a problem for you, unless you plan staying til about 10pm, in which case getting home may be difficult.
