Does anyone know what the yellow signs in Thornhill, Cardiff are about? There are a few that say UNIT..?

and some that say something like CKS BASE, or some kind of initials before BASE. Anyone any idea, I'm curious lol

They seem to have been out up while I was out today....and they aren't pointing to anwhere that would have a military base :P

I am told that there are military bases.
The letters tell you which kind of base, British or American and which branch of the forces.
When you look on a map you will not find them, google maps are likely made so that you can not see anything in detail.
