Good places to go in Cardiff for a night out?

On a saturday night .............?

and where to stay away from? lol

Thanks

Honey

Depends what you like.

Buffalo is a decent bar just off Queen Street. Clwb Ifor Bach is decent enough. Glo Bar is alright. Las Iguanas and a couple of other resturants on Mill Lane will serve you food and cocktails until about 1am if that's your thing. Callaghans is ok.

If your idea of a good night out involves wearing a sparkly cowboy hat, dancing to chart music, getting into a fight and eating a kebab at 3am then head down to any of the clubs at the end of St Mary Street (not my idea of fun).

If you're a young emo / indie kid and you want to drink nasty cheap watered down beer and listen to emo, metal and other such stuff then Metros or The Barfly would be the place for you.

Personally I reckon the nightlife in Cardiff is pretty rubbish but I guess it depends on what you're into.

I don't know about where to start but the police station is a popular night spot.

Do you mean Cardiff by the Sea in So. California?
If so, look for the Poseidon Restaurant and get a table by the window at sunset. Magnificient.

Student's Union if you have a card and can wait a few weeks ....

Police station

Just go there!!!
