How long does it take to drive from St Davids to Cardiff? |
I'm trying to book a train from Cardiff to London in advance, and will be driving in from St Davids the same day. Google Maps suggests it's about 2.5 hours but I know from experience in LA that the "estimated Google maps" time isn't always a good match for the real world. Thanks. Sounds about right, I would think it more close to 2 hours than 2 1/2, but it has been a few years since I have been there. It also depends on the time of day you are going, the M4 can be a nightmare between Cardiff and Swansea during rush hour. Saint David's is wonderful little "city", and I am sure that you will enjoy your trip there. Be careful of the speed cameras between Cardiff and Swansea, I know a few people that have gotten tickets on that stretch of motorway. Try mapquest. 2.5 hours is probably about right (assuming you stick to the speed limits), but I'd allow at least 3 to be on the safe side if you're catching a train at the other end. Also bear in mind that there could be a lot of traffic in Cardiff (depending on the time of day) and if you have to find somewhere to park, you'll need to add time for that. 2 hours 20 mins |
