Trying to find accommodation in Cardiff on 14-15 September but everything is booked out.Any ideas ?

We are happy for any style of accommodation. We are pretty hardy travellers. Travelling from France to London and hoping not to hire a car so may not have our own transport .This is the weekend that Australia play Wales as part of the Rugby World Cup

If, like you said, every hotel is booked out in Cardiff, I would try getting a hotel in Newport, cheaper and it got train commute every 15 minutes or so.

Try hotels.com, expedia.com, or orbitz.com

All have last minute bookings

I had a look at http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Unite... [ they also have an Aussie site ], but all the places in Cardiff are on request for obvious reasons.

Either you find something down the road in Newport or Swansea etc. [ if you're lucky ] :

Newport :http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Unite...
Swansea : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Unite...

have you tried the caravan sites?
you can hire a static caravan in porthcawl or cardiff
