Cabo or Cancun ????

Me and my boyfriend are planning on going to one of these places for a 2 night 3 day vacation. We have a budget we want to spend less than 1K... anyone please tell me pros and cons and let me know of some nice reasonable hotels to stay at .

I've been to both, so I would have to say Cancun. It has way better beaches and lots more to do. I stayed at an all inclusive hotel (Club Med), so it was more expensive up front, but then I didn't have to worry about food, and more importantly, drinks for the whole trip.
