Oddly, it's hotter in the morning than it is in the afternoon. About about 2pm local time, the trade winds kick in and cool things down. Expect short rain showers.

BTW, you can tell when it's about to rain because the rain is preceeded by a lot of flying insects. The insects are followed by birds that are eating them and then comes a brief warm rain.
