Any comments on your stay at the Barcelo in Cancun?

We are heading there in May for our 10th anniversary. Tell me what you thought and any suggestions on how to make the most of our trip.

I should have put Barcelo Costa Cancun to be more specific.

DOn't go to the one in CANCUN go to the one in the Myan riviera for your tenth aniversary .I have been going their since 1999 when it opened every year .

It is an hour away from Cancun but it has a private beach not public better rooms a great five star..Read the reviews.
My first time their a couple complained that they thought they were going to be staying in Cancun not the riviera and demanded after a couple of days they be sent to the one in Cancun ...we met them at the airport and they said they wish they didn't complain !!! That the myan riviera one is much better the one in cancun the restuarnat felt more cafeteria style ...and the hotel seemed cheaper I drove by when we rented a car once and I am glad I always choose thier Beach resort instead.
It's only an hour away from Cancun
Cancun is great for partiers while the resort is more laid back and exclusive for couples and families ..It actually has three different sections ...and excellent entertainment

There are 2 in Cancun, and both are very nice, just don't go expecting the Barcelo to the the Ritz Carlton and you'll have a great time.

The Barcelo at KM4 in the Hotel Zone was to me the better of the 2, the second one being the Barcelo Tucancun at KM13. Both are not too far away from the attractions and night spots, which are at KM9.5

Definately have a look at the Cancun Catamarans Site, http://www.cancuncatamarans.com as a day sailing with them was absolutely wonderful, and one of the best trips I did there.
