How is the life after the hurricane in Cancun?

the beaches, animals, boys

Everything is back to normal. The resorts have been either rebuilt or completely renovated. Some of the beaches are bigger and better and others are a bit smaller.

What kind of animals? Marine? The dolphins are back and swimming with the tourists.

The boys will always be boys and they are back in fine form.

enjoy Cancun. It's all good)

Hi

The hurricane was 2 years ago..
Its business as usual there

We were there the winter after the bad hurricanes. Most buildings had been repaired.. mostly what I noticed was the ravaged palm trees. Some were stumps.. some had fronds left, but not much more. Alot of the resort huts were ruined and repaired with better strategy for hurricanes.. so that they couldnt be ripped OFF from the wind,, they had a place for the wind to excape.

The beaches have recovered well, again, except for the palm trees. Plants have grown back well.

We did not see alot of damage to the animals that were native to Mexico.. the iquanas, geckos, tiny lizards seem to do fine.. they can hide in very tiny places.

We went back this winter and saw that even more progress had been made, especially since this hurricane season that just passed was a mild one.

If you are speaking of Hurricane Wilma that happened in October 2005. Everything is bigger and better.

If you are speaking of Hurricane Dean in 2007 it didn't hit Cancun. We had some wind and some rain and those hardest hit are south of Cancun.

Saw dolphins only yesterday...

And boys...you know you can't keep them away no matter what the weather!

I was in Cancun with Wilma hit, and went back in November 07. Everything is newer and cleaner and the beaches are still amazing, some of the best in Mexico by far. If youre thinking of going, have a great time, you will be happy!
