Going to Cancun?

My husband and I are going to Cancun and staying at the omni hotel. We are wondering how much money to bring and also the best way to bring it? I have read on other postings that $100 a day is good. Anybody have other suggestions? We are not staying all inclusive.

Bring a combination of cash, credit cards and use the ATM. Since you are not staying at an all-inclusive, you will need more than $100 a day. You should budget at least double that. Nice restaurants are expensive. Use your credit card for excursions and the nice dinners.

Just be aware that the ATM's disperse pesos and the bills are not small . Bring some dollars for tips, bus fare and small purchases. It's hard to find small bills( dollars) in Cancun.

Always count your change. The exchange is about 11 pesos to a dollar. Figure one peso is like a dime.

$100.00 a day is good. Be sure to have a credit card for back up.

If your not staying all inclusive you might want to think about 200.00$ or more a day... It can be very expensive down there, especially when they see a wrist band.
