Well, it depends on when you'll be going there...... and you gave no hint about when you're planning to travel to cancun. If you go during hurricane season, yeah, most probably it'll rain everyday -- and still there are exceptions, like the other answerer who said she didn't get a single drop in September (still hurricane season). Right now it's not raining at all, and it probably won't till next june/july.... but there might be a weird day during february or march when it will pour...... you can't know for sure, but again, the probability depends on the season. Look at the weather forecast in any website that is trust worthy right before you go....

The above answer is correct, it mostly depends on the time of year you go. It was always my experience that it rained at night. If it rains during the day, unless it is during hurricane season (June - November), daytime showers pass pretty quickly.
