Anyone in canberra , Australia knows how to get cheap groceries without going to woolworth and coles?

is Aldi really cheaper?

If you have aldi go to it. they are brilliant but they don't stock everything. but have basics and much more and so cheap. they have weekly specials and buy in bulk for example one week it might be DVD players but these special specials are not always available. Unless you want their advertised products don't go on a thursday as they are oh so busy thats the day people queue to get the special items but all the other days cheaper than the other stores by a long way

Fyshwick fresh food market - operates Thursday to Sunday.
As far as woolworth and coles - you might be surprised that they are actually quite cheap there. I get great vegies from woolworth and they are cheap and usually of good quality.

Aldi in Tuggeranong may be cheaper but their range of stuff is pretty limited. Still, you can fill the cart there.

definately go to the fyswick markets for fresh groceries. u wld also find little 'mini-marts' ard that u can find most of ur basic stuff. woolies in general i found was the cheapest amongst the grocery stores.

Mother Nature in Tuggeranong
Fyshwick like everyone else has mentioned
