What cycle trails can I do in the ACT?

I've heard there are lots of cycle tracks in the ACT especially Canberra, does anyone know where these are and how difficult they are? What kind of bike do you need?

Maps of cycle tracks in the ACT are sold in bike shops and also look in outdoor shops. Around Lake Burley Griffin is 45km and that should keep you busy for a while. Any road legal bike is OK.

You can try around mount stromolo (weston creek) or mount ainslie i think.

Around the lakes like ginninderra, burley griffin and tuggeranong are pretty good.

Try using the busses with the bike stand thing if you want to try different places around town instead of stringing it up to a car.

I don't know what difficulty these paths are as I am not a cyclist myself.
