It looks like you might be male, because otherwise I'd suggest Fernwood - if you sign up to the Belconnen or Gungahlin ones you'll get to use both as the franchises are owned by the same person. Not cheap though.

Otherwise, I've heard that Fitness First at Canberra Centre is quite good - they currently have a $1/day trial until the end of January. Pretty convenient if you work in the city and my friend told me you get a permanent locker which would save having to bring stuff in every day.

Go to active leisure centre up at erindale (South side).

I go there with my school and its pretty good.

Up at north side i'd say club lime? or fitness first in the canberra centre.
