any information about sport in Canberra is appreciated Hello, The area around Canberra is pretty good for birding. There are about 6 or 8 national parks within 100 km. You can probably pick up 200 to 250 different birds. A couple of the prettier are Flame Robin and Easthern Rosella Rugby. There is a big number of all sports play by the other countries but next to no competition. All embassy are base in Canberra. Like they had at one period a Crockett competition and had a club house in the grounds of the old Canberra Hotel.That is along side the usual sport play by Australian. Biggest played sport in Canberra is International Football (Soccer). The biggest crowd pulling sport is Australian Football or AFL |
